Baby Monitors

With a new baby in the home, everyone is understandably a little nervous about putting him or her into the bassinette or crib in a room all of their own. For first time mothers, having an intercom or a two way means of keeping your ears open for the baby as well as listening for noises in the room, it’s a real means of calming their concerns about baby.

Most baby monitors are relatively inexpensive and feature a single hand held unit that can be carried with the parents, while a wired unit sits near the bed of the child.

In fact most people tend to use a monitor in a child’s room until they are about four years of age. A standard baby monitor typically lets you hear the noise that is going on in the baby’s room, while permitting you to go about daily tasks. These are wonderful tools and are useful in keeping your baby within your sights, even if you can’t actually see them.

Many new parents are taking it a step further in their quest to not only calm their own fears but keep the child more comfortable too. A small hand held companion to the wired intercom that you use is a great way to not only hear your baby, but using a two way unit to also be able to speak to them and soothe them as well is priceless. Many parents are opting for the two way monitors that let them speak to their children as well as to hear them.

The monitor in a child’s room is an invaluable tool to let you hear what’s happening and know when baby or toddler awake from a nap or are ready to get up. You won’t have to worry about the child attempting to get up on their own and perhaps being injured in a fall or coming out of their room on their own.

In the night, having the ability to speak to them may calm their fears and soothe them back to sleep.
