Car Alarm Systems

With all this talk about car and motorcycle theft, is there a viable way to defend your property? What are the odds of your car being stolen? Unfortunately about one in every 200 people loses their car to auto theft. Fortunately, there are now some great detriments to that in the way of alarms and other means of security for your car. They will, even if they don’t prevent it entirely, lower the chances that your car will be stolen quite significantly.

Alarm systems for your car are almost as annoying and as confusing as an alarm for your house. Of course the salesman wants you to get the biggest and the best for your car, but do you really need it? Those high tech, high priced car alarm systems are probably just about as much as your next month’s salary. Still if it saves your car…

The question is will it save your car? How much do you really have to spend to get an alarm that is relatively good and will be a deterrent to auto theft? These days, with pricing coming down on a lot of techno-goods, you really don’t’ need that million dollar miracle of modern technology.

Features
- Every alarm, just like anything else, has features that are optional. You can get alarms with multiple features, or with just one.
- The Inside-Outside Sensor are sensors that know when someone is outside your car, or when they get in it. These are super for convertibles.
- Keyless Entry System allows you to unlock the car from a good distance away with your remote control
- Remote Start: you may start, or also shut off your car from a distance away from it with this remote.
- Two Stage or Dual Stage Alarms. These offer you a double warning. If someone is near the car or jostles it slighting a few beeps are emitted, but if a second jolt takes place the car alarm will go off in all its glory.

You can get many of these features together, or just one variety, depending on what you want to pay.
How Much Should I Pay?

A decent car alarm is probably not going to cost less than 150 dollars. For that price you can find a simple alarm system that will emit a siren and has sensors on one or two areas. Going a bit higher in price, around 250, you can find alarms that offer you more kinds of sensors and more options. The price of alarms may range upward of 1000 dollars but frankly, you can get security for a lot less if you shop around.
