Home First Aid Kit

Ask anyone if they’ve got a full featured home first aid kit and may people will tell you that they don’t. They have a small one that may have come with a few band aids and a stick of ointment but more often than not, even those who make their living in medicine have a less than adequate first aid kit for their homes.

Not keeping a first aid kit around the house is simply dangerous. A first aid kit should be standard equipment for anywhere that kids or pets are involved. The kits should house a great deal more than the standard band aids and scrape medication as well.

Even in your home, you’re not sure what’s going to happen. Of course you’re careful but can you say for certain that little Jimmy isn’t going to spray his first bottle of cologne in his sister’s eyes?
Your home first aid kit should include at the very least, the following ingredients.

Band-Aids
Bandages
Tape
Gauze
Disinfectant
Antibacterial wash solutions
Bee sting or after bite solution
Eye wash solution

Various cuts and scrapes can take place in the course of a day. This is particularly true if you have kids. We all know to expect the unexpected when we’ve got children or pets. When you head out to a picnic or any other place, make sure that you have a duplicate of the home first aid kit in your car as well.
