While native gardening is something that most people are encouraging now, it’s not necessary to have all native gardens to bring in some kind of wildlife and make it want to stay around your property.

Make it a point to find natural methods of repelling the insects such as various flower or plant oils, rather than using repellents that contain very toxic ingredients that last a long period of time.
A few ideas for repelling insects might be to plant marigolds, lavender or other plants that tend to keep insects at bay naturally. There are some wonderful naturally insect annoying products too that are made specifically for the natural gardener.
In addition you can make your own methods to repel or prevent damage from insects by mixing water and ground parts of the insect. In a great many cases this will keep away bugs such as potato bugs.
Explore more natural methods of keeping away the insects that are harmful to your garden. You don’t want to add something to the property that will damage the very animals you are working to bring home to your garden.
